Emberfall Saga surprised us. Mobile RPGs often feel stretched thin to keep you tapping, but this one has a real story with characters who change over time. Combat is turn-based and readable, and the skill trees give you room to build your party the way you want without a spreadsheet.
The writing carries it. Side quests aren't just fetch tasks, they fill in the world, and the main plot has a couple of turns we didn't see coming. Battles get properly tactical in the mid-game once enemies start punishing lazy positioning.
It runs well and respects your time between sessions with a clean save system. If you like the genre, this is an easy recommendation.
